DTS Trading is a distribution specialist for disposable products spanning hygiene, medical, industrial, construction, retail and food manufacturing sectors. The company prides itself on two key things that are relevant for this role:

I) Supplying a broad product portfolio, sourced from multiple continents around the world, and

II) The service it provides its clients, through its internal distribution service and that which is out-sourced to reliable logistics partners.


The company is now looking for a Logistics & Warehouse Operator to streamline its existing operation, improve efficiency and handle all logistics associated with the import, export, handling and distribution of its products. The successful candidate should have professional experience and expertise in the following areas.

Required Experience (Essential to fulfil the role):

  1. Handling the booking of containers both nationally and internationally with shipping lines and agents.

  2. Documentation procedures associated with these bookings on an export level.

  3. Import documentation requirements for goods imported from overseas, both Europe and further afield.

  4. HS Code identification and Customs Clearance, both at sea ports and airports.

  5. Working with UK transport companies and couriers to handle nationwide product distribution.

  6. Proficiency in handling back off stock management systems to correctly record stock level, and process incoming goods and outgoing orders.


Desirable Experience (required to fulfil the role, but can be learnt/up-skilled):

  1. Managing warehouse operations and the creation and implementation of physical goods in/goods out processes.

  2. Experience using a forklift.

  3. Experience managing a small workforce from varied backgrounds.


All of the above experience (both required and desirable) comprises to form the roles and responsibilities of the position being recruited for.

  1. A can-do attitude. They will have autonomy to implement new processes and take control of logistical operations within the company. They must be willing and able to take on this challenge and overcome the inevitable hurdles that they will experience.

  2. Strong work ethic: DTS operates as a small team. The team is close as a result of every member’s willingness to go above and beyond to ensure company wide targets are met and impeccable client service levels are maintained.

  3. Flexibility: Given the nature of the company’s operations, the job is not an 08:30-16:30. There will be flexibility within the role given by the company to the successful candidate and the same is expected in return from the successful candidate to the company.


  • The role will be based out of the company’s new warehouse facility in Watlington, Buckinghamshire, with an additional storage facility in Stokenchurch.

  • The successful candidate should expect the majority of their working week to based out of the Watlington warehouse, with additional delivery requirements using company vans expected on occasions.


Other requirements:

  • Service oriented – experienced in ‘going the extra mile’

  • Full and clean driving license

  • Understanding the ‘customer first’ attitude and being comfortable with polite customer interface.

Working Schedule:

  • 40 Hours per week

  • Predominantly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend requirements.
